I’m a mixed media artist working in Northern California. My collages, prints and paintings represent my love of vibrant colors and patterns. My creative process leans hard into intuition and experimentation. I feel my way through a piece until it makes sense to me visually and emotionally.

 

Visual art became my preferred mode of expression after a long career as a writer. I create things in an attempt to make sense of the world and my place in it.

 

I draw inspiration from textiles and improvisational quilts, flowers, poetry, music, architecture, travel and children's books, among other things. My work explores concepts of joy, impermanence, hope and truth while celebrating imperfection and the beauty of everyday objects and experiences.
